Soooooo…

It’s my birthday coming up in a couple of months and I have wanted a sewing machine for EVER! Growing up, I was very lucky to have a Gran that made her own clothing and often showed me how to cut patterns and create outfits for myself. So I have had a good ol’ ebay session and internet hunt and I have decided on this magical bunch of goodies for a present to myself

Firstly I am going to get a Jones Sewing Machine and hove found this lovely little machine:

I love the carrier it comes in!

Whilst hunting around I found this book, I love old-style design! (I would buy it is if was still in book form but unfortunately you can only download the pdf)

And to go with this, I am going to get Boo Davis’ ‘Dare to be Square Quilting book which looks awesome!

I think it will be a great little book, and there are some really cool designs in there!

Whilst watching Shooting Stars the other night, Sam said to me “You know Vic Reeves is also an artist?” I was intrigued, so had to have a look for myself!

A strange mix of surrealism and curiousness. I like it though when you find something out that you didn’t know before and it turns out to be quite surprising!

h how lovely the Daily Drop Cap project is – created by illustrator Jessica Hische. I have been following her drop caps for some time now, so I don’t know why I didn’t post earlier! But there are some fantastic ones on her site… so you MUST go check them out!

Here are a few examples of her other drop caps… very inspiring!

Saw these AMAZING new Chuck Taylor All Star Dr. Seuss trainers online last night! I think that they are awesome, and with my addiction to Converse, I now am on a mission to get them! (Not sure if you can get them in the UK though – which might be a good thing!)

So I have a burning need to go on a lovely little holiday SOOOON! And I remembered that a photographer came in to show me her book and she had done at shoot in these Airstream campervans. The shoot was stunning! And the Airstream campers were AMAZING, totally kept up in a lovely vintage fashion…

So I think I am going to put a little aside and book maybe a birthday get-a-way! I am getting excited ALREADY!

Lovely packaging for a pretty miserable rainy Thursday to brighten up the day!

The Grimm Brewhouse

I don’t think I would open them, just pop them on a shelf in the studio – just to look at!

One Village Coffee

Designed by Able the coffee bags look really cool, giving lots of information about the company and ecompassing a ‘village’ feel into the experience!

Again for me, its another great package that I want on my desk right now… (actually a nice cup of coffee might go down well right now!)

Hill’s Absinthe

Although I am not a friend of Absinthe I think the delicate illustrations on the bottles designed by Toman Design really make it a stunning bottle that works well with the colours of the alcohol.

Adoré Fine Chocolate

Finally, look how stunning these hand made chocolate wrappers are! Designed by Coba & Associates the delicate packaging was created for 10 different flavours of the chocolate.

Amazing!

WOWEEEEE Bakery!

Came across the Eugene and Louise Bakery site today and I literally said ‘O.M.G’ in my head!

They created stunning fictional bakery items for an art show in Antwerp. Combining character designs and illustrations with tasty marzipan and chocolate!

How cool! I wouldn’t be able to eat them! Nom nom nom…. so inspiring!

They sell stunningly kooky jewellry that is basically to DIE for!
